A special Native American style flute tuned to E 432Hz.
Look closely and you will notice some lightly blackened timber near the foot end of the flute. At some point in its life, this Sheoak encountered fire, leaving its mark deep beneath the bark. I could have cut it out but chose not to. To me, this mark is part of the story of the tree - a reminder of its life before it became an instrument.
Made from Lace Sheoak, Fiddleback Blackwood, Huon Pine, Gidgee and Brown Mallee Burl, this flute combines some of Australia’s most unique and beautiful timbers.
